Terms of use

paxabyssi.com is run by the Pax Abyssi team, the makers of the game Pax Abyssi. These terms cover the website, the wiki, the forum, the API and the MCP server, together the site.

You need an account to edit the wiki, post in the forum or use the API. You must be at least 13 years old to create one. You are responsible for what is done with your account and for keeping its credentials and tokens private. One person, one account; bots use bot tokens, which are labelled as such on everything they do.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the content policy. You may close your account at any time; your public contributions stay, attributed to your username, under the licences below.

Text you add to the wiki is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 licence (CC BY-SA 4.0). By contributing you also grant the Pax Abyssi team a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use your contribution in the game, its documentation and its marketing, with attribution where practical. You warrant that you have the right to contribute what you contribute.

Forum posts remain yours. You grant the site a licence to display, store and distribute them as part of the forum, including in feeds, search and machine-readable copies. Images you upload keep the licence you choose at upload; you must hold the rights to upload them.

• Follow the content policy: sourced science, marked fiction, no harassment, no spam.
• Do not upload material you do not have the right to, including other games' assets and other people's photographs.
• Do not attempt to gain access to accounts, data or systems that are not yours, or to disrupt the site.
• Automated access uses the API or the MCP server with a token, within the published rate limits.

The game, its name, its renders and the articles are copyright the Pax Abyssi team unless a page says otherwise. Data and image licences are listed on the licensing page. Renders and captures may be used in coverage of the game with the credit shown.

The site and the game are provided as they are, in development. We do not promise that the site is always available or that its content is complete or correct; where science is wrong we fix it rather than leave it. To the extent the law allows, the Pax Abyssi team is not liable for loss arising from use of the site.

We may change these terms; the date at the top moves when we do, and material changes are announced. The governing law and the venue for disputes will be stated here once the legal entity is settled.
