An encyclopaedia of the real sky and of the game built on it
Every page states what is observed, what is modelled, what the simulation approximates and what is fiction, and cites its sources. The Pax Abyssi team and the community write it; trusted editors review what new accounts add.

Where to start
Each portal collects one part of the science, from the catalogue star outwards.
- 7 pagesSpectral and luminosity classes, the main sequence, giants and supergiants, brown dwarfs, the catalogue's stars.
- 14 pages
Planets
The 37 planet types and their subtypes: rocky worlds, ocean worlds, gas and ice giants, the exotic cases. - portal
Moons
Moon classes, regular and irregular satellites, resonances and tidal heating. - portal
Small bodies and rings
Asteroid belts, the Kuiper belt, comets and planetary rings. - 3 pages
Stellar remnants
White dwarfs, neutron stars and pulsars, black holes of every mass, X-ray binaries. - 3 pages
The Galaxy
The Milky Way's structure, the star catalogue and the procedural fill beyond it. - 8 pages
Planetary systems and orbits
System archetypes, occurrence rates, formation, Kepler's laws, resonances, transfers. - 3 pages
Atmospheres, climate and surfaces
Atmosphere classes, greenhouse effects, clouds and hazes, escape, geology. - 5 pages
Life and habitability
The habitable zone, the viability indices, biosignatures and the sim's life system. - portal
Physics toolkit
The concept pages everything links to: blackbodies, albedo, escape velocity, relativity. - portal
Ships and technology
The fleet, the flight model and speed regimes, real spaceflight physics, the fictional stardrive. - 3 pages
Reference
Data sources and licences, units, how the sim builds a system, the science policy.
Sudarsky classification
A theoretical scheme from 2000 that sorts giant planets into five classes by the temperature of their upper atmospheres, which decides what clouds can form and so how much light, and what colour, the planet reflects.

Five labels, one rule
- ObservedMeasured or catalogued in the real sky, with its source cited.Measured in the real sky by a named instrument or survey, with a date and a source.
- ModelPublished physics or a published model, applied as written.Mainstream theory or a published model applied as written, not directly observed.
- SimWhat the simulation generates or renders; it may depart from reality and says where.Pax Abyssi's own approximation or invented category, physically motivated, with its departures stated.
- SpeculativePlausible but unproven; an extrapolation the science does not yet settle.Allowed by known physics, with no confirmed example yet.
- FictionInvented for the setting. True in-universe, says nothing about the real sky.True only inside the game's setting.
A page can carry several labels; a section can override the page. The policy.

How it works
Pages are Pax Markdown: CommonMark with wikilinks, maths, figures and a frontmatter infobox checked against a schema. Every revision is kept in full; readers see the last accepted version and editors see the latest.
Anyone with an account can edit. New accounts go through pending changes; trusted editors review them, move pages and revert vandalism; staff mark what is canon. The API and the MCP endpoint read and write under the same rules, with every edit signed by its account.
