Real astronomy, and how the simulation models it
About and rules
About c/science
Stars, planets, stellar remnants, orbits and the catalogue behind the map. Ask questions, share papers, and pick apart how the simulation handles something.
Posts support maths, so $L \propto M^{3.5}$ renders as an equation. Say whether you mean the real universe or the sim: they sometimes differ, and the wiki notes where.

Rules of c/science
1Be decent to each other
Argue with ideas, not people. No insults, slurs, threats or pile-ons. Assume the other person is here for the same reason you are.
2Point to sources for claims about real astronomy
A paper, an agency page or a textbook. Say when you are speculating; speculation is welcome when it is labelled.
3Say whether you mean reality or the sim
When the game models something differently from the real universe, make clear which one you are talking about.
4Credit every image
Agency images (NASA, ESA/Webb, ESO) need their credit line. Images that are not cleared for commercial use cannot be posted.
5No spam or advertising
Share your own work where it fits. No advertising, referral links, or the same post in several communities.
